Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Could Not Arrive With Exynos 2400

Published

on

Samsung is actively setting up for the next Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in July, which is supposed to introduce sixth-generation foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. It is expected that the giant could drop plans for a dual-chipset setup on the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Even ahead of any official revelation or launch, leaks and rumors have already revealed a lot of stuff regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Initially, it was reported that the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be powered by an in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, but now a recent leak claims it could arrive with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, even probably for all regions.

It came to light in a post on shared by a tipster named @kro_roe, who revealed that the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 will arrive with Snapdragon across the board, and the reason behind this change is just to avoid critical issues seen in the Exynos 2400. Somewhere, it is expected that Samsung could deliver the phone in some regions with the Exynos 2400

However, Samsung has not promised the Snapdragon chip for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Noticeably, if the Korean giant powers the Galaxy Z Flip 6 by Exynos 2400, that doesn’t mean the device will not be able to handle high-end functionality. Leaks and rumors already reveal more about the specs beyond its CPU. We also reported the key specs of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, as revealed by the early benchmark. It will be interesting to see exactly what new features, specs, and design this next-generation foldable will bring.

OnePlus 13 Expected to Feature Better IP Rating Than Galaxy S24

Published

on

OnePlus is a budding competitor of Samsung, which is gearing up to launch its next-generation smartphone, the OnePlus 13, with an IP68 or IP69 rating.

Earlier this year, Samsung debuted its high-end Galaxy S24 series, which features an IP68 rating to protect the device from dust and water. The IP rating is a kind of extra layer of protection over the smartphone’s display.

The IP rating is an international standard that measures how well an electrical or mechanical enclosure can resist damage from liquids, dust, objects, and accidental contact. The Galaxy S24 series is rated IP68, where 6 stands for the dust rating, which is the highest level of protection, and 8 stands for the water resistance rating, which can resist up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes.

As a strong competitor, the OnePlus 13 could be rated with an IP68 or IP69 rating. This is being speculated on by a tipster named Digital Chat Station. Apart from this, the Google Pixel 8 series and Samsung Galaxy S24 series already have this rating.

It will be interesting to see whether the upcoming phone will be powered by this IP68 or IP69 rating. But if OnePlus wants to overcome Samsung in the tech market, then it should add an extra layer of protection to its upcoming OnePlus 13 by offering an IP69 rating.

Since Samsung’s current Galaxy S24 series has an IP68 rating, So, this is a golden chance for OnePlus to make its strong place in the market by offering this a step better IP rating than the Galaxy S24.

Samsung Ends Update Support for Another Galaxy A Series Phone

Samsung has shared the details about the July 2024 security patch. With the revelation of the information, the company has also described the scope of the security patch update, where it has provided a dedicated list of the devices belonging to the different categories, including monthly, quarterly, and biannual.

These devices are divided on the basis of price range; however, from time to time, the company also removes the device from the list by following the policy. The Galaxy A21s is a fresh example of it.

The Galaxy A21s has completed four software support

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A21s, launched back in 2020. It came with Android 10 preinstalled. Later,  the device grabbed three more major updates in the form of Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13.

Now, following the software update policy, the device is more eligible to get any new major update. Along with this, the device also grabbed several security patches. However, the device is no longer eligible for another minor update as it has crossed the limit of the update.

At the start, the device was listed under the quarterly update list, where it was eligible to get four security patch updates per year. After two years, it was downgraded to the biannual update list with the eligibility to get only two updates per year. Now,  after completing the full cycle, the device is removed from the list.

If you are still using the Galaxy A21s device, then you should switch to the latest device, because if you continue to use the device after six months of the last security patch update, then the device will not be able to protect your privacy and data from external threats. If you want to switch to the new midrange device, then you can choose the latest device released in the Galaxy A series this year.

A new Fan Edition, or FE variant, is in the budding stage. Samsung is looking forward to bringing a new FE variant called the Galaxy S24 FE by the end of this year. The brand is planning to offer new color options for the upcoming FE variant.

It’s pretty early to discuss the details of the Galaxy S24 FE since it has yet to come into official existence. The leaks and rumors have already started circulating regarding this upcoming phone. The latest report suggests the color options that Samsung could offer for the Galaxy S24 FE.

Black never goes out of style; it seems Samsung took it seriously since this time it is offering black color for the Galaxy S24 FE variant. Apart from the black option, the brand will offer more color options. The color options for the device are being speculated on by a tipster on X named DSCC’s Ross Yong.

It is reported that Samsung could offer five color options for the Galaxy S24 FE, including black, which are as follows:

  • Black, Gray, Light Blue, Light Green, and Yellow

However, a couple of weeks ago, the report already showcased a glimpse of the light green color in the leaked Galaxy S24 FE renders. It is also reported that the phone will feature slimmer bezels than its predecessor, in addition to a larger display, which is expected to measure 6.65- inches.

The Galaxy S24 FE could be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, the same as the actual Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models. It will feature 12GB of RAM and run Android 14 out of the box, and the camera setup includes a 50-MP primary, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP or maybe 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
