Samsung Galaxy Security Warning: New Malware Taking Control of Devices

Published

on

A report from the checkpoint issued a warning to Android smartphone users who are using the older version or even the latest Android 14 on their device that there is new malware spotted that is gaining access to the user’s smartphone and can control several functions, leading to a breach of privacy. Being bound to Android in different versions, Galaxy users also focus on how they can stay protected.

Going into details, a new malware called Rafael RAT is available on the internet, can be the user’s fault, and can be installed on their devices.

For example, if you click on any link from an unofficial website or if you download any app from an external source, it can lead your device into danger.

So, Check Point advised that if you want to stay protected, then always check for the source before installing or visiting any website and don’t open any link provided by an unknown sender, because if you accidentally do this, it can, in fact, damage your device, which could lead to abnormal behavior of the device such as an unexpected battery drain, increased data usage, or the presence of unfamiliar apps. Once it is fully activated, it can access sensitive information such as contacts, call logs, and text messages.

Along with this, you should check for the latest update; if available, then update your device to the latest version via system settings.

It is worth noticing that the Rafer Rat malware is spotted targeting devices in several countries, including the United States, UK, China, Indonesia, Russia, India, France, and Germany. So if you also belong to these counties, then you should stay alert, and if you find any behavior changes in the device, then you should update your device to the latest version.

The application is dedicated to providing many features that measure different parameters of the human, such as sleep tracking, heartbeat monitoring, and many more. Samsung always tries to make it more convenient for the users with new updates.

Samsung Health is getting a new update with the version number 6.27.0.157. With the latest update, the company has attached the same changelog that was already applied to the previous updates; for example, it mentions the new capability to compete against the past results in different parameters.

It is worth noticing that the latest update for Samsung Health is coming in a software package of only 97.88 MB, which indicates that the update may not provide any significant changes for the application.

If you want to take advantage of all the new features of the device, then you should update the device to the latest version by going to the Galaxy Store. It is worth noting that the application is also available for other Android device users, so it can also be updated by the Google Play Store.

These channels arrive in addition to the 800+ ad-supported options that already exist from various sources.

The newly added channels are being speculated by StreamingBetter, and they bring the curated collection’s total to over 130 FAST channels. The list of the latest channels is mentioned below:

Google could integrate Circle to Search feature with Google Lens

Published

on

Initially, Samsung introduced Circle to Search with Google on its recently launched Galaxy S24 series within the Galaxy AI title. Later, Google also made this feature available on its Pixel phones. Now it seems that Circle to Search could simplify Android search by letting users draw around topics or images.

Circle to Search is a new feature from Google for Android smartphones. This lets you search any content, like text or images, from the display by just circling it, without even switching between the apps.

This eliminates the need to open a web browser and type out a search query, making it a more instant and convenient way to find what you are looking for.

Currently, Circle to Search is only available on countable Samsung and Google Pixel devices. It has already been reported that this feature is on the verge of integrating with Google Chrome through the Lens UI.

The new report from the Android Authority suggests that Google is looking forward to bringing the Circle to Search feature to Google Lens. If the report is to be believed, Google Lens might get a Circle to Search feature soon.

When in Assemble Debug mode, Google Lens showcased a message about searching the screen directly, which is how Circle to Search activates on some Android phones.

However, the brand has yet to make an make an official announcement regarding this report. Some XML files refer to pill-based gesture navigation, but the feature is incomplete yet.

At the moment, the Circle to Search feature for Google Lens is in the development phase. Currently, the feature is limited to a three-button navigation bar, but Google may make changes to this once it’s ready for end users.
