OneUI 8 to bring notable tweaks and new animation to the Calculator App

Samsung is about to start the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program any time soon this week or next week, which is expected to bring flexible layout and new animations to the Calculator app.
The Korean tech giant is anticipated to offer several notable changes and improvements to the UI, aiming to enhance the user experience. Meanwhile, a user on X shared a few tiny videos that showcase the new animations and flexible layout coming to the Calculator app with the One UI 8 update.
Samsung’s calculator app with One UI 8 will work on different screen orientations. Currently, the app is not compatible with letting you use the scientific calculator in portrait mode, whereas the normal calculator isn’t available in landscape mode. Now, with the One UI 8, Samsung will make the calculator app more flexible, so that you can use a scientific calculator in portrait mode.

With the coming update, the Galaxy users no longer need to rotate their device while using the advanced features. The normal calculator also now supports landscape mode, which seems quite convenient.

Apart from this, the One UI 8 also introduces the updated animations; for instance, previously, while opening and closing the history section, the animation moved up and down, but now it moves from left to right.
However, Samsung has yet to reveal the exact changes coming to the calculator app with One UI 8, so it remains to be seen whether the leaked upgrades and animation will come true.
