Samsung could collaborate with Perplexity, aiming to introduce new AI Assistant 

Samsung and Perplexity, an AI firm, are looking forward to a new collaboration that aims to pre-install a pre-built Perplexity app on the Galaxy smartphones and other devices. 

Recently, Samsung has replaced the Google Assistant with Gemini as a virtual assistant on Galaxy devices, including smartphones, tablets, and watches.  Now, the company is rumored to collaborate with a new AI company, Perplexity, to introduce a new AI assistant and generative AI capabilities. 

According to a new report from Bloomberg, by the end of this Samsung could adopt Perplexity, which hints that it could be possible, the upcoming foldable smartphones could bring the new AI tool. However, the exact device name is not mentioned in the report, so it remains to be seen whether the company will adopt Perplexity with which Galaxy devices. 

Potentially, the next-generation Galaxy S26 series could bring a pre-installed Perplexity app as a new AI assistant. In case this integration comes into existence, then Gemini’s leading legacy could be in trouble, since it could force other mobile manufacturers to also adopt Perplexity. 

Reportedly, Perplexity is in reports with investors across the industry to raise $500 million at a $14 billion valuation. However, there are no official words regarding this new collaboration yet, so it remains to be seen exactly what will happen next.
