Galaxy S22 series grabs the June 2025 Security Patch

Samsung initiated the process of June 2025 security update rollout with the Galaxy A56 models last week and the update is now approaching more eligible devices, including the Galaxy S25 and S24 series and more. Now, the company is expanding the update for its 2022’s S series models, Galaxy S22 series.
The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra units have started receiving a new update that significantly integrates the latest June 2025 security patch and is currently available in Samsung’s home country South Korea, also, the wider availability is expected soon.
The latest firmware for Samsung’s 2022 models is identified with its detectable build number, S90*NKS7FYF1. More specifically, the update is just a minor security patch for June 2025, that; however, doesn’t bring any massive changes or features, rather it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.
It packs a host of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were acknowledged in the previous version to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior for a more efficient and brings optimizations to the device’s performance that eventually offers a more smooth, stable and optimized functionality to the users.
Well, Samsung is already working on distributing the latest June 2025 security patch since last week, the models have gradually been refreshed with the update as the update reaches to more regions. For now, the Galaxy S22 models can download the latest version on their devices.
