Samsung to knock US market with Exynos-powered flagship foldables

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, and both are anticipated to be powered by the in-house Exynos chipsets, including the US market.

Samsung announced to launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE at the Unpacked event on July 9, in New York. This time, it is looking forward to changing its tradition of powering the foldable phones with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset. As it could use its in-house Exynos chips for Galaxy Z Flip 7 & Flip FE.

Recently, Samsung announced its latest flagship in-house Exynos 2500 chipset based on a 3nm process. Now, a new report (Via) revealed that the Korean tech giant is equipping both of its new Flip models with its in-house silicon.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is rumored to be equipped with the newly announced Exynos 2500, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip FE is anticipated to be powered by the previous-generation Exynos 2400. If the report comes true, then these will be the first Galaxy foldable phones to feature Exynos chips.

If this happened, then this would be the first time Samsung would debut its flagship devices in years to arrive with Exynos chips in the US, unless we consider the Galaxy S24 FE a flagship, since it is also packed with Exynos 2400e globally. On the other side, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will still be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

However, Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding the processors of the coming foldable phones, so it remains to be seen what will happen and whether the expectations will come true.
