Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge is now anticipated to have a highly advanced battery, noticeably without relying on the silicon-carbon materials, as the report suggests.
The Korean tech giant seems to be actively working on its next-generation Galaxy S26 series, which is rumored to include three models with rebranding, which are as follows:
- Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra
Recently, a reliable tipster reported that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 4,200mAh battery packed into an ultra-slim 5.5 mm profile. This hints that the device will bring at least two notable upgrades, including a bigger battery as compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900mAh, and a thinner design of 5.5 mm.
Now, the same tipster shared a new report revealing that the company may have developed a highly advanced battery without relying on silicon-carbon materials. He also mentioned that not only Samsung, but also other brands haven’t managed to fit a larger battery into such a thin device.
Meanwhile, another Galaxy S26 Edge battery rumor hints that it will have a 4,400mAh battery capacity. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed anything official regarding the battery specifications of the Galaxy S26 Edge yet, so it remains to be seen whether the device will have a 4,200mAh or 4,400mAh battery capacity.
