Breaking: Samsung’s XR Headsets Edge Closer to Launch as Motion Controllers Appear on FCC

Samsung’s Project Moohan is now anticipated to bring two motion controllers, which are now listed on a verified FCC certification with dedicated model numbers.

The Korean tech firm is actively working to maintain its leading legacy in the tech industry, for which it is looking forward to expanding its ways by introducing more innovative devices. Currently, it is developing its first-ever headset, Project Moohan (XR headset), to debut this year.

A few days back, during the 2Q25 Earnings Conference Call, Samsung suggested that it would launch the XR headset by the end of this year; however, it didn’t mention the exact date. Meanwhile, Project Moohan (XR Headset) appeared on the FCC certification with the dedicated model number A3LSMI610.

Previously, it was reported that Samsung is developing first-party controllers for its XR headset, which seems to be coming true, as two motion controllers for the XR headset have now been spotted on the FCC certification with specific model numbers as mentioned below:

  • ET-OI610L
  • ET-OI610R

The last character in the first model number, “L,” represents the left-side motion controller, while the “R” in the second model number represents the right-side motion controller. This listing confirms that the XR headset will bring motion controllers and also hints at the near launch. Apart from the model numbers, the listing hasn’t revealed any specific details regarding exactly how the controllers will function.
