Samsung Galaxy S23 Series joins August 2025 Security Update rollout

While other flagships, such as the Galaxy S24 series, whose owners already started getting the ongoing August 2025 security update in the international markets, Samsung has finally started rolling out the August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S23 series, but this time, starting with the European market.

Not its home country, South Korea, Samsung prioritizes Europe for delivering the August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S23 lineup. At the same time, the update for the 2023 flagships has been spotted in Germany, while other regions will follow shortly.

Meanwhile, the August 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra is identified with all-new version numbers, S911BXXS8DYG5S916BXXS8DYG5, and S918BXXS8DYG5, respectively.

Also, the latest update is Samsung’s usual monthly Android security bulletin that, however, doesn’t bring any major changes or features; rather, the patch significantly focuses on improving the system’s overall security and core functionality that apparently offer a more secure user experience while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats. It further adds stability to the entire system behavior that eventually leads to a smoother and more efficient performance for the users.

Well, Samsung has already progressed the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, with the Galaxy S23 series also lined up in the queue to be getting the latest beta program; it looks like the Galaxy S23 lineup will perhaps be getting the One UI 8 beta sometime in September, while the S25 series will start receiving the stable version.
