Galaxy S25’s One UI 8 Beta 6 may add another important feature

Samsung’s One UI 8 version is progressively heading towards the stability phase, which is scheduled for September release, starting with the Galaxy S25 series and followed by more devices over the coming months. Meanwhile, it looks like Samsung is preparing to release yet another One UI 8 beta for the S25 series, which is supposed to add a significant feature, Call Captions.
While a previous leak claimed that the recent build for the Galaxy S25 series (ZYH9) hides the flag of two most significant features, including Now Brief’s Read Aloud and Audio Eraser for the Gallery app, now, according to the tipster, Tarun Vats, via X, a few sources have revealed that the S25’s ZYHB build is identified as One UI 8 beta 6 and could perhaps bring another key feature, the Call Captions.
However, it’s important to note that the One UI 8 build spotted on Samsung’s test servers remains limited to the testing and is not released publicly. At the same time, it appears like the Call Captions feature will be added with the One UI 8 beta 6 build, alongside both of the features mentioned above.
Basically, the Call Captions feature instantly displays what the person is saying on the screen when on a phone call. It transcribes calls in real-time and is more or less similar to the Call Transcribe feature but is an upgraded function. The Call Captions feature reduces the additional process of recording calls first and then transcribing them, providing instant results.
Well, it’s yet to be confirmed whether Samsung is planning to release the One UI 8 Beta 6 build for the Galaxy S25 series or will head straight towards rolling out the stable version. Nevertheless, the stable One UI 8 is scheduled for September, beginning with the S25 family, and will sequentially reach even more eligible Galaxy devices over the coming months.
