Samsung Drops Galaxy S25 One UI 8 Beta 6: Next Should be Stable!

Samsung has officially released Beta 6 of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. This latest beta brings the series in line with Samsung’s newest software, which first made an appearance on their recent foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Flip7 FE.

This new preview version is yet another step towards the release in stable form and proves to be fundamental for development, given that some critical issues had emerged that the South Korean giant had yet to solve.

While the stable release is set for next month, Samsung has started rolling out the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 series, and the update is currently live in India, South Korea, the UK, and Germany.

The sixth One UI 8 beta iteration for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra came up really quick after a week gap of delivering One UI 8 beta 5 to the S25 family. At the same time, the newest beta build has been identified with an all-new version number, ZYHB. Most prominently, the new update apparently integrates the September 2025 security patch for more security.

This beta continues Samsung’s tradition of refining the user experience, introducing key enhancements ahead of the final release.

In addition, the sixth beta update significantly brings a bundle of bug fixes and other relevant improvements that eventually lead to a smoother and more efficient performance. Specifically, according to the changelog, the One UI 8 beta 6 adds fixes for the icons placed on the lock screen, fixes the Now Bar issue, fixes errors when applying or changing fonts, fixes the clock widget time display error, and more.

Also, it’s important to note that the latest beta build primarily comes with the new September security patch, which will focus on improving the overall system security, stability, and functionality.

Well, currently, Samsung has started delivering the latest One UI 8 beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 family in the countries listed above, and thus previous beta participants can enroll themselves and opt in for witnessing some exceptional features ahead of the official release. Nevertheless, Samsung has scheduled the Android 16-powered One UI 8 stable rollout for September, so this latest beta build seems to be the last stop; that is it for the beta phase, as the stable version is coming up next!
