Samsung Galaxy S24 FE receives August 2025 Security Update, after appearing on One UI 8 internal testing
Samsung has started releasing the ongoing August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S24 FE models while also testing the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 on internal servers.
The Galaxy S24 family’s fan edition unit, the Galaxy S24 FE, has just started receiving a new software update that significantly integrates the August 2025 security update and is identified with the version number S721WVLS7BYH1, the update size around 340MB only.
Although Samsung’s monthly security updates are only meant for increasing or strengthening the system’s overall security and don’t bring any major features or changes, similarly the August 2025 security patch also focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. It packs a lot of significant bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain optimizations to the overall performance that eventually offer a smoother, more stable, and more efficient functionality to the users.
As of now, the Galaxy S24 FE units have been spotted receiving the August 2025 security patch in Europe and Canada, and it’s expected that the update will be expanded to more countries gradually over the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, Samsung is progressing really well with its newest major OS, One UI 8, which is powered by Android 16. Also, the internal testing is already continuing, and at the same time, the company has delivered One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models. Well, the stable version is scheduled for September release; the Galaxy S25 series will be testing One UI 8 beta 6 by the time the official version arrives.
