Samsung Confirms Galaxy S25 FE Misses an Essential Security Upgrade

Samsung presented the newest member of the current Galaxy S25 family, the Galaxy S25 FE, last week, showcasing a smartphone bound with some intelligent features and noticeable upgrades, including AI. Meanwhile, a report claims that the S25 FE is confirmed to feature a regular fingerprint sensor.
According to the reports presented by Android Authority, the newly launched Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t come with an essential security upgrade, and this is now confirmed from Samsung’s side.
An optical in-display sensor takes the place of an ultrasonic sensor:
Basically, it was earlier rumored that an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is already under development for the Galaxy S25 FE, and at the same time, a few retail outlets and shops have mistakenly listed an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for the description of the device.
Meanwhile, the source mentioned that Samsung itself has confirmed that it has used an optical in-display fingerprint sensor instead of an ultrasonic scanner. However, Samsung has always preferred an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, as they are literally cheap, while on the comparison side, an ultrasonic sensor is the most considered security tech due to its accuracy and faster actions.
And for the fact that the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors even allow users to unlock their phone with wet fingers to provide a more convenient experience.
Well, despite that, the Galaxy S25 FE debuted in a Fan Edition category but packs various premium features, upgraded Galaxy AI, and a bold new design. The phone is now available at Samsung’s official website, online sellers, and retail stores near you at amazing offers and discounts.
