
Samsung has announced that the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 stable rollout is set to begin this month; meanwhile, the company has just released One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S23 series.
The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra units are receiving the second beta of the One UI 8 version, which carries a new version number, ZYI5, and is currently going live in India and Samsung’s hometown, South Korea. Also, the update is expected to reach more eligible countries, including the US, in the coming days.
While the new One UI 8 beta 2 build for the Galaxy S23 series certainly holds a small package installation size of around 500MB, the latest update significantly packs a few essential bug fixes and other improvements that are meant to provide an efficient user experience.


Specifically, according to the changelog, the update brings fixes for the reset issue when using the phone, fixes the issue where the DeX setting value is not maintained when updating to One UI 8 from the previous OS via the FOTA update method, and lastly, it fixes the issue where the Galaxy Watch 7’s clock weather app is not being updated in real time. Also, the update integrates the September 2025 security update for providing additional security.
