Samsung opened up the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 models two weeks ago, and now, the company has started rolling out a new update for the devices.
Specifically, the new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 significantly integrates the ongoing September 2025 security update and is identified with the version numbers F946USQS6EYI1 and F731USQS6EYI1, respectively.
It’s important to note that the update is available in the US for the Verizon carrier-locked models, and it’s expected to expand to more units across the country and in other eligible regions outside the US.
At the same time, the update, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; rather, it focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. Although Samsung’s September security patch seems to be a massive update, as it packs a host of bug fixes that were acknowledged in the earlier version in order to ensure a more secure user experience, it also protects the device against potential threats.
Further, the update also adds stability to the entire system behavior for an efficient functionality and brings certain optimizations to the overall performance that lead to a smooth, stable, and optimized user experience.
