Samsung Confirms ‘Galaxy XR’ Name Through Bluetooth SIG Listing

Samsung is already expected to launch its first XR headset by the end of this year, and now it has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification, hinting at the near launch.

The Korean tech giant has been working on its first XR headset, which is supposed to be called “Galaxy XR,” for a long time and has also teased it on several occasions. The company has already confirmed that it will launch the headset by the end of this year; however, it hasn’t revealed any specific date for the launch yet.

A few days back, a report claimed that Samsung would launch the XR Headset (Galaxy XR), code-named Project Moohan, on 21 October, through an online event. Since the date is not official, it remains in question whether the prediction comes true.

Meanwhile, the headset has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification with the official name “Galaxy XR” and a dedicated model number, SM-I610. However, apart from the name and model number, the listing hasn’t revealed any major details regarding the specifications and features of the headset but hints at the imminent launch.

Galaxy XR on Bluetooth SIG

Last week, Qualcomm showcased the Project Infinite extended reality (XR) headset at the Snapdragon Summit 2025 in Hawaii, USA. According to the previous report, the headset may be controlled via the Glasses Manager app. It will be interesting to see exactly what novelties the company will offer with the device.
