Samsung to Launch Galaxy M17 5G on October 10

Samsung is now looking forward to expanding its mid-range Galaxy M-series by debuting a new device called Galaxy M17 5G on October 10, and ahead of the launch, the key specifications have been revealed.

Earlier this year, the company launched the Galaxy M16 5G smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, running Android 15-based One UI 7, and it will get up to six major Android upgrades. Now, the company is setting up to launch a successor to this device, named Galaxy M17 5G.

Meanwhile, Samsung India, via its official X handle, confirmed that the Galaxy M17 5G will launch on October 10 and will be available on Amazon. The teaser images on Samsung India’s page and Amazon reveal a few major specs of the Galaxy M17 5G, which are mentioned below.

According to the teaser, the upcoming Galaxy M17 will measure 7.5 mm in thickness, which makes it slimmer than its predecessor, the Galaxy M16 (7.8 mm). It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, an IP54 rating for splash resistance, and Gorilla Glass Victus on the front.

The triple camera setup includes a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, a 13MP selfie camera is placed. It is compatible with a few AI features, such as Circle to Search and Gemini Live. The teaser just revealed these specs, while the complete specs sheet will be disclosed at launch.

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy M17 5G is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset and will be available with an 8GB RAM option, but it remains to be seen whether this leak will come true.
