One UI 8.5 might expand more new Galaxy AI features for Galaxy owners across the globe

Samsung has been continuously evolving more advanced AI innovations and technology for its Galaxy AI suite, in particular. Well, it looks like Samsung could make some Galaxy AI features available outside China.

In case you missed it! A few weeks ago, a leaked One UI 8.5 build claimed that Samsung is working on bringing even more new and interesting AI-powered features for Galaxy phones, and these features will be making their way with the next generation Galaxy S26 family next year.

More specifically, the report suggested Galaxy AI features, including Meeting Assist, Touch Assist, Smart Clipboard, and Social Composer. However, these features are currently only limited to the China-based Galaxy devices, but the latest report (via) spills some good news, claiming that Samsung is perhaps looking towards expanding AI features for phones in the global market with the arrival of the One UI 8.5 version.

At the same time, all the features mentioned above rely on Samsung’s generative AI that is designed to provide more convenience in performing everyday tasks while also making them quick and intuitive.

Well, Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite already has some interactive AI features, and the new addition will significantly take the entire user experience to the next level.

However, Samsung is yet to make any official confirmation regarding the expansion of AI features to more countries outside China.

Nevertheless, several leaks and rumors so far are clearly suggesting that Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 version is perhaps going to be a major upgrade, but it still remains to be seen how Samsung will present the next OS, which is supposed to be based on Android 16 QPR2 and not Android 16.
