For a few recent days, several Wear OS smartwatch users, including Samsung Galaxy Watch users, took to Reddit to report issues regarding the inconvenience they are facing while sending WhatsApp messages on their watches.
According to their reports, launching the app brings up an irritating error message saying that the version of WhatsApp installed on their device had become “obsolete” and also advises them to update to the latest version from the Google Play Store.

Although the app was partially usable, in that users could reply to messages directly through notifications on the watch but couldn’t access the chats.
To deal with this issue, a few users figured out a temporary solution, such as removing the app from their device and reinstalling it again and joining the beta program for WhatsApp in the Play Store to download the beta version, which worked without any issues.
Now, Android Authority says that the issue is fixed permanently, as a new version of WhatsApp has been released on the Play Store, and the affected users have now confirmed that the app is working seamlessly without any errors.
