Samsung launched its latest foldable smartphone called the Samsung W26, which brings several notable features, including direct satellite connectivity for emergency calling and messaging.
The Korean tech giant has expanded its presence in China’s foldable market by debuting the Samsung W26, majorly based on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company equipped the device with great specifications, advanced features, decent design, and more notable convenient compatibilities, such as satellite connectivity.
The W26 has a direct satellite connectivity feature for emergency calling and messaging, achieved by connecting to Tiantong, China’s mobile communications satellite system. This feature will be quite convenient in particular scenarios where there is no cellular network connection. Noticeably, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 launched in July 2025, lacks this feature.
Samsung offers two special dual-tone colors for the device, as mentioned below –
- Dan Xihong (Red+Gold)
- Xuan Yao Black (Black+Gold)
The device is available in 16GB of RAM and 512GB &1TB internal storage. Whereas, Galaxy Z Fold 7 also has 12GB of RAM and a 512GB internal storage variant.
The camera setup of the newly launched W26 is similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, including a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 10MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. A 10MP camera is placed on the front side for selfies.
Samsung priced the 512 GB variant at CNY 16,999, while the 1TB variant at CNY 18,999.
