Samsung is one of the leading brands in mobile camera technology. Now, it has announced that it is partnering with Vivo to upgrade 200MP camera technology.
Recently, Samsung launched its new 200MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor, which packs 200 million pixels, each measuring 0.5 µm, into a 1/1.56-inch optical format. The company is quite active in expanding its presence in mobile camera technology by introducing more advanced and smart camera sensors to offer enhanced photo and video quality across all lighting conditions.
Meanwhile, now a reliable tipster, @IceUniverse on X, shared a text post, revealing that the President of Samsung’s sensor business announced that the firm will continue their strong partnership with Vivo. According to the post, he also revealed that Vivo is now one of Samsung’s most crucial partners in the camera sensor business.
The partnership is transparently appearing in Vivo’s newly launched high-end smartphones, Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, in Shanghai, as they majorly feature Samsung’s camera sensor.
The Vivo X300 features a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB main camera with an f/1.68 aperture. While the ultrawide and front cameras use a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor. Whereas the X300 Pro uses a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB sensor for the telephoto camera, delivering detailed shots at longer distances, and works with Vivo’s telephoto extender lens. The ultrawide and front cameras are 50MP Samsung JN1 sensors. It will be interesting to see exactly how beneficial this partnership will be for both firms.
