Samsung Heavy Industries announced its Q3 2025 business results

Samsung Heavy Industries announced its quite profitable results for the third quarter of this year, with its operating profit surging to 283.1 billion won.

We have already entered the fourth quarter of 2025, and now Samsung Heavy Industry has shared its third-quarter revenue, according to which it reached 2.63 trillion won, which is an increase of 13%, while net profit increased nearly 97% to 140.3 billion won. In the first and second quarters of this year, cumulative revenue reached 7.81 trillion won, up 8.5%, while the operating profit increased by over 72% to 566 billion won.

According to the report, the extremely surprising result comes from a change in product structure when the company decided to reduce the proportion of low-cost container ships, and the aim behind this was to focus on high-margin offshore projects. Fortunately, the change in strategy comes out in favor of the firm as it improves the financial performance as well as enhances its position in the high-tech and energy ship segment.

Apart from this, the company predicts complete 2025 revenue to exceed its target of 10.5 trillion won; however, the proportion of orders signed during a period of strong ship prices and rapid expansion of the offshore construction segment plays a crucial role in this.

Regarding this, a company representative stated, “Samsung Heavy Industries will continue to prioritize high-quality orders , ensuring sustainable profit growth in the long term.”
