It appears that Samsung’s upcoming major software, One UI 8.5, is slowly taking shape to be perhaps the most interesting version after One UI 7. Since leaks are continuously drawing an outline of what to expect from the latest version, a fresh leak suggests the inclusion of a new feature for users with limited data plans!
Despite being heard about the delay in the One UI 8.5 beta program supposed to begin in November, the rumor mill is continuing to blow minds of the entire fan community.
Meanwhile, another new feature has just been spotted within the leaked One UI 8.5 build (via Android Authority), suggesting that the build integrates a few string codes, which claim that Samsung seems to be working on bringing a new Adaptive data saver option in One UI 8.5.
Diving deeper, it was found that these strings point to the functionality of the new Adaptive data saver feature, which will let users use a small amount of data in various social media apps. Due to this feature, users will be able to download videos from any social media app only when they are ready to watch.
However, it remains unclear about the exact explanation of the feature, but it looks like the video speed or quality will remain unaffected.
Well, this feature could lower the data consumption of videos. Also, a large number of audiences have unlimited data packages (4G/5G) on their mobile phones, so they hardly even bother to check how much daily data they have consumed. However, many of them only rely on limited data plans, but thankfully, the One UI 8.5’s Adaptive data saver would become a perfect saver for those managing their daily data requirements.
Nevertheless, it’s better to wait until the official confirmation from Samsung is received. At the same time, it remains to be seen how Samsung will implement the feature when One UI 8.5 officially arrives.
