One UI 8.5 is set to bring a huge upgrade to Samsung Internet Browser

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 version has been continuously in the headlines for quite some time now; meanwhile, a recent report suggests that the upcoming OS hides some major upgrades for the Samsung Internet Browser.
The Samsung Internet Browser is Samsung’s dedicated web browsing service that offers a great experience to the Galaxy audience. Now, a fresh report apparently suggests that Samsung is preparing to improve and upgrade its Internet Browser with the upcoming One UI 8.5 version.
Well, according to the report offered by a user on Reddit (via Tuttoandroid), with the upcoming One UI 8.5 software, Samsung is supposed to be making some major, substantial changes to its browser, redesigning it completely, which is apparently going to be a massive upgrade for the browsing app.
Since the redesign for Samsung Internet Browser is reported to be arriving with One UI 8.5, that is, next year, the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware hides a few major changes for the Internet Browser (with the latest version v29.1.2.23), including new features, fresh icon, new welcome screen, and much more.

Essentially, Samsung seems to be changing the icon of the Internet Browser, as the front screen displays a new icon. At the same time, the revised address bar appears like it’s inspired by Apple’s Liquid Glass, whereas this bar has two separate sections, first up is the Home on the left, and then, assistant, tabs, and options menus on the right. Also, the menus will now have different opening animations, where they open up in a floating window, replacing the full-screen UI.

Noticeably, users will be able to choose how they want the address bar to appear, from options such as:
- Standard, the default one
- Compact, which consists of a pill that moves to the bottom of the screen
- And lastly, Lower, the same that is present in the current version (One UI 8) of the browser.

Well, all the above-mentioned changes, new features, and upgrades are supposed to be arriving with the upcoming One UI 8.5 version; nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether Samsung performs certain changes or rolls out the upgrade for the Samsung Internet Browser once the official One UI 8.5 update is released.
