Samsung has just started the distribution of the latest Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch beta 2 for the Galaxy Watch 5 series; meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 8 series, which has arrived with the One UI 8 Watch on board, started receiving a new software update after a long gap.

Well, it’s spotted via Samsung Community Korea that Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, which is currently limited to Samsung’s hometown, South Korea and is expected to expand to even more countries in the coming weeks.

Specifically, the latest firmware for the Galaxy Watch 8 series has been identified with the AYK1 version number, and essentially, the update significantly integrates the November 2025 security patch, which is currently available to Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

However, the latest software doesn’t bring any major features or changes, but it apparently adds a handful of fixes and focuses on improving the device’s entire security, core functionality and performance in order to provide an even more secure user experience, while also protecting the Galaxy Watch against various external threats.
