Samsung has to face a lot of criticism due to the charging upgrades for its Galaxy smartphones, premium flagships, in particular. But this could change with the upcoming next-generation Galaxy S26 series, as right after the leak for Super Fast Charging 3.0, it looks like Samsung is about to bring fast wireless charging as well, says the report.
Well, for years, Samsung has introduced wireless charging functionality; however, the company has always stuck to the 15W wireless charging, which was initially introduced with the Galaxy S20 series.
Meanwhile, according to the report presented by Android Authority, a brand new One UI 8.5 leaked build has been discovered, which includes a few string codes, and guess what? This time, the codes perhaps point towards the inclusion of Super-fast wireless charging support. However, no new version number was found associated with the latest codes, except for the Super-fast wireless label.
At the same time, it’s, however, being predicted that Samsung is supposed to finally bring wireless charging speed upgrades with its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, as the next-gen smartphones are almost set to launch in late January, next year.
With the courtesy of the latest report, it’s believed that the two models, including the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, could feature 15W to 20W wireless charging support, whereas the Galaxy S26 Ultra could reach up to 25W wireless charging capacity. Also, the wireless charging speed upgrade is supposed to decrease the charging time by 40%; however, it remains to be seen which two of the three smartphones will arrive with the ‘Super fast wireless charging’ label.
Nevertheless, Samsung is indeed getting stiff competition from its rivals regarding the charging speed upgrades. Where other Android partners are already offering massive 50W-80W wireless charging capacity with their chargers.
