Samsung could add new AI assistant to the Galaxy Store with future One UI 8.5 build

Samsung is now anticipated to bring an AI assistant for its Galaxy Store with the stable One UI 8.5 version in the near future to enhance user experience.

Recently, Samsung released the latest One UI 8.5 beta update to the Galaxy S25 series in selected regions, including the US, UK, Korea, and Germany. It’s expected that the company will expand the beta program to more eligible countries for supported Galaxy devices.

With the One UI 8.5 beta update, Samsung offered several notable customization options, new features, tweaks, and upgrades. Meanwhile, one of our reliable colleagues, SamMobile, revealed that while digging through the One UI 8.5 code, it appears that Samsung is now looking forward to bringing an AI assistant to the Galaxy Store and the Theme Store.

If the report comes true, then the Galaxy users will get an AI-powered Galaxy Store and the Theme Store, which will help them to find the apps, games, and themes they are looking for, even if they don’t know their names, as the AI-powered functionality will let them find things through descriptive sentences and natural language.

When you tap the search icon, which has text with colorful hues, “What are you looking for?” in the Galaxy Store, which resembles the AI-powered search that Samsung introduced in One UI 8.0’s Settings app earlier this year on the Galaxy S25 series.

However, Samsung hasn’t introduced this feature with the current One UI 8.5 beta, but it’s expected that it could be brought with future beta builds. It remains to be seen whether this feature will come into existence.
