Samsung Health’s new tool will warn you when exposed to dangerous noise levels

Samsung is continuously making advancements in maintaining health and wellness for the entire Galaxy audience via a smarter Samsung Health app. While hearing is a sense of luxury, prolonged indulgence in loud noise can lead to hearing loss. But Samsung seems to be taking inspiration from Apple to introduce a new tool for hearing health.

Well, Samsung Health is indeed packed with various powerful features that keep the users’ health on top; meanwhile, according to a report from Android Authority, it looks like Samsung is working on a technology that brings a new Noise card with the latest version of the Samsung Health app.

Specifically, the report mentions that while taking a deeper dive into the latest version of the Samsung Health app, v6.31.2.003, it was spotted that Samsung is supposed to introduce a new card named ‘Noise’ that appears to be added to the Health app’s home screen. At the same time, hearing damage can easily occur due to long exposure to extremely loud noise, and it can be dangerous as well, as it can contribute to long-term hearing loss.

Under the hood, Samsung seems to be preparing to deal with hearing loss and is testing the new Noise card, where users will receive an average estimate of volume levels they have been exposed to throughout the day via the Samsung Health app’s Noise card.

Additionally, the company is also preparing a new Advanced Measurement mode, where users will get excessive noise alerts when the sound level exceeds the users’ set threshold, which apparently includes limits ranging from 80 decibels to 100 decibels. Other than that, users are supposed to see their Noise alert history as well in order to track how frequently they have been receiving the alerts, be it weekly, monthly, or annually.

However, it remains to be officially clarified whether Samsung wishes to roll out new tools to its Samsung Health app or not, but hopefully, this could happen soon, as it is another useful upgrade for the Galaxy users, which can be seen in the future.
