Samsung expands One UI 8.5 testing for Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE alongside Fold 6 & Flip 6

Samsung has already opened the latest One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series; meanwhile, a fresh report indicates that the company is testing the latest build for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, alongside the Galaxy S24 family as well as the S24 FE models behind closed doors.

​The latest One UI 8.5 beta is available for the Galaxy S25 series phones in four out of six countries, including South Korea, Germany, the US, and the UK. At the same time, it looks like the company has started expanding its internal testing for more of its flagships, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, as well as the Galaxy S24 family and its fan edition sibling, the Galaxy S24 FE.

​According to a few reports from the tipster, Tarun Vats, via X, the first One UI 8.5 internal test build for the Galaxy S24 family alongside, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well as Flip 6 have just spotted on Samsung’s servers, carrying the version number, DYL5 and F956BXXU2DYLB as well as F741BXXU2DYLB, respectively.

In addition to them, the fan edition model of the Galaxy S24 family, the Galaxy S24 FE, also joins the One UI 8.5 internal testing (via Alfaturk on X), which is recognized with a new S721BXXU8DYLB build number, indicating that Samsung has started to internally test its latest major software for the S24 FE phones as well.

​However, it’s still not known whether other previous-generation flagship devices are eligible to receive the latest One UI 8.5 beta, which is currently only available for the Galaxy S25 series, at least for now. Nevertheless, the One UI 8.5 is indeed packed with a host of features and changes, while the changelog has already leaked, showcasing all the key upgrades.
