Galaxy Watch FE’s One UI 8 Watch update expands to the US

Samsung, a few days ago, delivered the latest Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch FE models. Now, the company is looking to expand the update to the watches in more countries.

Basically, the previous update, consisting of One UI 8 Watch software, for the Galaxy Watch FE was limited to the home country, South Korea; meanwhile, Samsung is already rolling out the software for the Galaxy Watch FE models in the US, which is now available for the Verizon- locked units.

Specifically, the latest Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch FE has been identified with the R866USQU1BYK6 version number. At the same time, the new software also integrates the October 2025 security patch for a secure and more efficient user experience.

Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch is powered by Wear OS 6, and thus, it brings the excellence of some newly added features that apparently take the entire system experience to the next level.

The One UI 8 Watch further adds several new and interesting features, including the ability to create own tiles from information such as weather, calendar events, and reminders; brings low light mode for watch faces like Sporty Classic and Heritage Classic for easier viewing in the dark; adds Mindfulness feature for mood tracking and breathing exercises and much more relevant improvements to provide a smoother, efficient and optimized user experience.

However, it’s worth noting that Samsung has not delivered the new Samsung Health features, such as the Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index for the Galaxy Watch FE models via the latest One UI 8 Watch update, at least for now.

It is possible that Samsung wishes to keep these features exclusive for newer generation Galaxy Watches, including the Galaxy Watch 8 series, Watch 7, and Watch Ultra models.
