Samsung One UI 8.5 brings Predictive Back Gesture

Samsung’s newly released One UI 8.5 beta update brings several notable features, including Predictive Back Gesture within Good Lock’s One Hand Operation+ module.

It’s been a few days since Samsung opened the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series; however, it is available in selected markets, including the US, UK, Korea, and Germany. It’s expected that the company will expand the beta to more eligible countries and devices in the near future.

Samsung has offered multiple tweaks, notable customization options, UI enhancements, and new features, including a Predictive Back Gesture with the One UI 8.5 beta update. However, previously, it was reported that the company is working on bringing the Predictive Back Gesture with the new firmware.

Meanwhile, a user on X shared a post revealing that in One UI 8.5, Predictive Back Gesture is now the default. According to the post, you can now use Predictive Back Gesture and One Hand Operation+ together.
