Samsung is supposed to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 8 next year, which is now anticipated to be powered by its in-house Exynos 2600 SoC.
A few months ago, Samsung launched its seventh-generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, and it is now looking forward to introducing the next-generation foldable phones.
Under the hood, the Korean tech giant has been working on its eighth-generation foldable phones for so long, to launch sometime in the third quarter of 2026 –

Recently, Samsung officially launched its in-house 2nm-based Exynos 2600. It’s expected that it will use this newly launched chipset initially for the upcoming Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus.
Meanwhile, now a reliable tipster, @jukan05, shared a post on X, revealing that Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) division is discussing with its chip-making teams about using the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Usually, Samsung used to rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset to power its flagship smartphones. Since its newly launched Exynos 2600 chip is powerful enough for high-end smartphones and has already passed internal performance tests. It might be possible that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be equipped with Exynos 2600. However, the official statement regarding this report has yet to be revealed.
