Samsung Galaxy S25 owners have been watching the One UI 8.5 beta program drag on for months. The stability fixes and incremental refinements have been fine, but the real question was always whether Samsung would bring the flashier Galaxy AI features from the S26 over to last year’s flagship. That answer is now yes, and it is coming sooner than expected.
According to leaker Tarun Vats, Samsung has already added the new features to a recent test build (S938BXXU9ZZD9, targeting the Galaxy S25 Ultra specifically), and they are expected to roll out with the next beta update within days.
Call Screening lets an AI assistant pick up calls on your behalf, ask the caller for their name and reason for calling, and transcribe the response in real time. You can jump in at any point, request more information by text, or let it record the call entirely.

Photo Assist is getting a meaningful upgrade. Beyond basic edits, you can now describe changes in plain text or voice, pull objects or people from other images, and instruct the AI on how to blend them in.
Creative Studio is a new standalone app for generating drawings, cards, stickers, and backgrounds, either freehand with the S Pen or through text prompts.

Advanced Audio Eraser expands beyond the camera app and works inside third-party platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Netflix. Noise reduction controls sit directly in the Quick Panel.

Initially there was speculation Samsung might keep some of these features locked to the S26 series. That does not appear to be the case. Reports suggest the Galaxy S24 and other high-end devices are also in line to receive them.
The stable One UI 8.5 release is rumored for the end of April.
