Samsung Android 12L: One UI 4.1.1 Update Rolled Out For Galaxy Z Fold 4 And Flip 4 In Canada

Samsung released the One UI 4.1.1 update based on Android 12L for compatible tablets and folding smartphones. Now that we’ve shown you the intriguing news that the update brings to the last year’s folding phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 in the United States. Now it’s time for Canadian units of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G update comes with the firmware version F926WVLU1DVHCAndroid 12L, and the One UI 4.1.1, but still the security patches for August 2022. As for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G receives the F711WVLU2DVHB firmware. Again, in addition to the new version of the OS and proprietary interface, there are security patches from last month.

The One UI 4.1.1 brings significant new features we must mention: the new taskbar that greatly enhances multitasking usage, the new gestures to switch from full-screen to split-screen mode, and improved use of windows apps; among those specific to One UI 4.1.1 are also the extraction of text from images, with the possibility of translation and sharing, the most advanced search function of My Files and the In the case of the folding, there is also a renewed Flex Mode with the lower portion usable as a touchpad.

To update your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, you can go to the system settings, following the ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’.

Samsung Galaxy A53 grabs One UI 6.1 update

Samsung is dropping back-to-back the One UI 6.1 update to eligible devices. Earlier, it had already rolled out the update to several Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A54Galaxy A73, and Galaxy A15 5G. Now, a member in the form of the Galaxy A53 is joining the update.

One UI 6.1 for Galaxy A53 is spotted in some Asian countries

As of writing, the Galaxy A53 has been spotted getting the One UI 6.1 update in some Asian countries, including Indonesia and Singapore, and is expected to reach more countries in the next few days. 

The update has arrived in Asian countries with the firmware version number A536EXXU9EXDE. With the latest major update, users will not receive new security patches and will continue to use April 2024.

The One UI 6.1 update has brought several new features that will improve the overall existing features of the Galaxy devices. For instance, the One UI 6.1 update has introduced several new customization options under the different functions, including lock screens, alarms, calendars, reminders, reorder modes, a new routine, and many more. If you are using the Galaxy A53 device in the mentioned countries, then now you can update your Galaxy device to the latest version by going to the system settings, going to the software update menu, and installing the update. But if you don’t receive the update yet, then wait for a few hours, as it may take time to reach every unit of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series received the May 2024 security update

After introducing the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022), Samsung has now rolled out the update for the latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The update was spotted in Europe.

Users who own the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers X716BXXS3BXE3, X816BXXS3BXE3, and X916BXXS3BXE3, respectively. The update is currently spotted in Europe for the cellular variants, and it is expected that Wi-Fi variants will get the same update in the next few days. According to the official changelog, the update doesn’t bring any visual changes, but it will fix some internal issues. 

According to the official documentation, the latest update will provide more than 50 foxes, whereas as usual, Google and Samsung have both actively added patches to improve the overall performance of Galaxy devices against security flaws.

Moreover, recently these devices have grabbed the One UI 6.1 update, so if you are getting any issues after installing the update, then you should update the device to the latest version as it may improve the working of the devices.

Samsung One UI May 2024 security Patch released for these Galaxy devices so far

Since the start of the month, Samsung has been busy providing the One UI 6.1 update to eligible Galaxy devices, so it has delayed providing the May 2024 security patch to them. However, it still successfully started rolling out the update for the Galaxy S24 series, and then it expanded the update to more devices. 

The May 2024 security patch update for Galaxy devices doesn’t bring any significant changes for the devices, but it will provide some enhancements for the security of the devices. According to the official documentation, the latest patch has brought more than 50 fixes. More specifically, Google has introduced 31 patches that enhance the functioning of the Android system, and along with this, there are 25 extra patches included by Samsung that address the issues found in the last update.

Moreover, the May 2024 update is part of a monthly security patch program run by Google, which only aims to make the device capable against the different types of cyber scams that may steal personal data, so if you are conscious of your data, then you should keep your device up to date with the latest version.
