Breaking: Galaxy S10 Lite gets Android 13 with One UI 5.0

This year Samsung confirms the particular focus on software support for its Galaxy smartphones and tablets, with specific regard to its top of range but not only. Over the last few days, we’ve seen the Korean company released the official update to Android 13 in the stable version for its Galaxies. Now also, Galaxy S10 Lite celebrates the major update.

After waiting for a long time, Galaxy S10 Lite users are now getting their third major Android update in the form of Android 13. The One UI 5.0 is a new major update for the Galaxy users which includes several new features as well as various bug fixes which provide a better experience to users of their device; with the update, Samsung has revamped the UI design, added some new customization tools, Samsung keyboard has also now improved and also received some new functions such as stickers, new emojis, gifs, some additional functions are also introduced like medical info SOS, RAM Plus and more.

Among the new features that the update brings with it, in addition to those of Android 13 introduced by the Google team, is the November 2022 security patch. Bixby Text Call, widget improvement, a new text recognition feature, One UI Modes, and Maintenance Mode.

Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A53 receive June 2024 security patch in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A53 devices in the US. These are the initial units of the device that are getting a new update, and it is expected that more units will start getting new updates in the next few days.

Notably, the locked unit of the Galaxy A54 is getting a new update with the firmware version number A546USQS7CXF4. More specifically, the update for the smartphone is spotted on some networks, including T Mobile, MetroPCS, and Dish Wireless. However, it has not yet been released for the unlocked variants. It is expected to be available on more carriers in the next few days.

The Galaxy A53 grabbed the update in the US for both locked and unlocked variants. Users who own the locked variant can identify the latest update by the firmware version number, A536USQSAEXF2. As of now, the update has arrived on several networks, including T-Mobile and Dish Wireless, and is expected to be available in more countries. Meanwhile, the unlocked variant is getting a new update with the firmware version number A536U1UES9EXF2. 

For your information, the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A54 and A53 doesn’t bring any significant features or changes for the devices, but it will provide some enhancements to the working of the devices.

Samsung rolled out June 2024 security patch to the Galaxy A52s and Galaxy A42 in Europe

In the last couple of months, Samsung hasn’t followed its traditional strategy to distribute the security patch to eligible devices rapidly because of the arrival of some significant updates, such as One UI 6.1. But now, with the June 2024 security path, the company is back on track to provide the update to most of the devices. Now the update has started reaching older devices, including the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A42.

Samsung has rolled out the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A52s and Galaxy A42 smartphones with the firmware version numbers A528BXXS8GXEA and A426BXXS7DXF1, respectively. Don’t be too excited, as the update will not provide any significant changes for the device, but it will bring improvements to the security of the devices.

June 2024 update: What’s new?

The June 2024 security patch is the latest firmware, which will enhance the overall security of the devices. Going into details, the latest firmware includes 59 fixes, where Google has introduced 37 patches, while Samsung has also brought 22 more patches to exclusively improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.

Samsung brings One UI 6.1 to Galaxy A25 in South Korea

Earlier this week, Samsung introduced the One UI 6.1 update in the US. Now,  with the latest development, the company has started expanding the update to more countries, including South Korea. It is expected to be available to more units present in different regions in the next few days.
