Galaxy A53 gets December 2022 firmware in the US

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy A53 device; it is not the Android 13 update but includes the December 2022 security patch update, as observing the distribution speed of Samsung, we are hoping that the Korean giant will soon provide the support for Android 13.

Let’s talk about availability; the December 2022 update is currently available in the US. Notably, the update is available for the unlocked variant of the Galaxy A53 device, while the locked variant of the device recently got the Android 13 update, but it comes with November 2022 security update.

The latest security update comes with the firmware version number A536U1UES4AVK6. The December 2022 security update doesn’t bring any new features. Still, it comes with bug fixes that improve several inbuilt functions of the device as well as enhance the security of the device.

The Galaxy A53 device was launched recently this year and placed in the category of the midrange phone, the device comes with Android 12 (One UI 4.1), and it has received the Android 13 in some regions as well as in the US(carrier locked). As the device was released this year, it is eligible for four Android OS updates and will get security patch updates for the next five years.
