Samsung is releasing the newest updates for Galaxy S20, Galaxy Fold 3, and Galaxy Flip 3. The One UI 5.1 update is now live for some regions, bringing a range of new features, tweaks, and bug fixes.

Recently, the company released the One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now the Galaxy S20, Fold 3, and Flip 3 users have joined the party. The One UI 5.1 brings some new features and improvements to the device, including updating the Camera & Gallery, Modes & Routines, Weather, Samsung Internet, and some additional changes.

The update is rolling out for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra carry firmware versions G980FXXUFHWAK, G985FXXUFHWAK, and G988BXXUFHWAK, respectively in Europe. While the F711BXXU4EWB1 for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. For the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with firmware version F926BTBU3EWB1 in India and Thailand.

The update with a download size of around 1 to 2GB, so make sure that you download it using a Wi-Fi network. Those of you who have not yet received the update can check for updates by going to Settings > Software Updates and tapping Download and install.

US Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 getting May 2024 security patch

Samsung has already started rolling out the May 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, but it was limited to the unlocked version. Now,  with the latest development, the update has been spotted on several locked variants.

As of writing, the May 2024 security patch has been spotted for Verizon-locked devices. Users who own the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 bound to the Verizon network can identify the latest update by these firmware version numbers, F946USQS3CXE3 and F731USQS3CXE3, respectively. 

The May 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any new features, but it will provide enhancements for the security of the devices. According to the official documentation, it will bring more than 50 fixes. Google has introduced 31 patches that will enhance the Android system, and along with this, there are 25 extra patches introduced by Samsung that will improve the overall performance of the Galaxy devices to protect user data against external threats.

Moreover, if you are having any issues while using any function on the device, then you should update the device. It will fix the issues and enhance the device’s performance and stability. 

If you want to update your device to the latest version, then just follow these simple steps: Forest, go to the system settings, select the software update menu, and here touch the download and install option. If it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.

Carrier-locked Galaxy A15 5G gets One UI 6.1 update in the US

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is the latest budget-friendly device from Samsung. It was launched back in December last year, and it came with Android 14 preinstalled. Now it is getting its first significant update in the form of One UI 6.1, and it will ultimately improve the utility of different pre-existing functionality.

As of writing, the locked unit of the Galaxy A15 5G has started getting new updates with the firmware version number A156USQU1BXDA. The One UI 6.1 update for this device hasn’t brought a new security patch and still uses the April 2024 patch level. The update is available on each network for locked variants and is expected to reach the unlocked variant in the next few days.

The One UI 6.1 feature will provide several new changes for the Galaxy devices; however, the update will not bring any Galaxy AI features, but it will provide a bunch of new features that will elevate the user experience. The Samsung Galaxy S21 has recently grabbed the One UI 6.1 update, where it has received a new bunch of features that offer a level-up experience for the system’s users. The May 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any significant changes for the devices, but it will enhance their overall security.

The Galaxy S21 series gets a May 2024 patch in Europe

European units of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers G991BXXSBGXDH, G996BXXSBGXDH, and G998BXXSBGXDH, respectively. It comes in a software package of 285.08 MB. This is the first patch update that arrived after the One UI 6.1 update, so this update may bring some improvements for the better functioning of the devices.
