Samsung Galaxy A73 5G gets new features with One UI 5.1 update

Samsung’s popular mid-range A series smartphones Galaxy A33 5G and A53 5G received a major upgrade with the latest One UI 5.1 update yesterday and started with the Korean market. The update brings many new features and enhancements to the device, providing users an improved and more seamless experience.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is also getting a new update that includes the latest One UI 5.1 features. The update is currently rolling out in Malaysia with version number A736BXXU3CWB7. And should reach other markets in the coming days.

One UI 5.1 Features

The One UI 5.1 update brings a host of new and improved features that are sure to enhance the overall user experience. The update also introduces Shared Family Album, which lets users share photos and videos with family members in a private album.

Samsung DeX also gets improved window resizing in the split-screen mode, thanks to the divider. The Weather app has also been updated with new features, such as the ability to display hourly precipitation information and a new dynamic widget that shows all the important information without needing to scroll. The One UI 5.1 update also includes several additional features that further improve the user experience. One of these features is the new battery widgets, which provide users with more detailed information about their device’s battery usage and performance.

Samsung brings the LTE TDD band support for these Galaxy devices in Europe via software update

Samsung has rolled out the second April 2024 update, which provides support for the new LTE TDD band. Several devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy A54, have spotted the update in Europe as of writing. As per the changelog, it seems that the new feature, the 4G LTE TDD band, may be exclusively available for the European region.

Samsung, on the other hand, doesn’t explain the release of this update or its purpose, but it’s possible that the company will do so in the coming days.

As per the observation, the update seems to provide a boost to network connectivity on LTE. In simple words, the update may aim to enhance network connectivity by stabilizing the speed of the internet while connecting to the 4G network.

According to the changelog, it is worth noting that Galaxy users who purchase their smartphone in Germany will not be able to use 4G networks on TDD band connections in other countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
