Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE receives April 2023 update with Image Clipper feature

Nowadays Korean tech giant is busy providing new firmware for its handful of Galaxy devices; specifically, these are two smartphones of the Fan Edition series, which receive in Europe the security patches of April 2023 and some improvements for the Gallery.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE have started receiving the Android April 2023 security patch that introduces all the fixes we’ve already seen.

The Galaxy S21 FE and S20 FE 5G (SM-G781B) April 2023 update comes with the G990BXXU4EWC7 and G781BXXU5HWCH firmware versions, respectively, and brings some improvements regarding the Gallery: Image Clipper. The feature is initially released exclusively on Galaxy S23 series smartphones; it allows users to crop objects from photos through the Gallery app instantly; by tapping and holding an object, it is possible to crop it and later copy, share, or save it as a separate image.

However, this is currently reserved only for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G version of the device (SM-G781B); the 4G versions, in fact (SM-G780F and SM-G780G) benefit from a much smaller update, presumably receiving only security patches for now.
