Samsung expands Galaxy S22 June 2023 security updates in more regions

It looks like Galaxy S23 is in sleeping mode, and the company hasn’t updated any unit of the device yet. The reason may be because of the camera-centric update. In the meantime, Samsung is expanding the June 2023 security update for Galaxy S22 to new countries; previously, it was limited to European countries. Being an S device, it is getting priority for the update.

The new update brings June 2023 security patch, it doesn’t include any innovation, but being a security patch, it comes with some security enhancements which aim to strengthen the security of the device, so attackers can’t breach your data and privacy. Moreover, the new security patch contains over 60 fixes that bring improvements to the internal functions of the devices. 

The latest update for the Galaxy S22 series device is now available in several Latin American countries, including Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, and Paraguay. Other nearby countries are expected to get the update in the next few days.

Users who own Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Bolivia, Mexico, Guatemala, and Paraguay countries can identify the latest update by the firmware version number S901EXXS5CWE7, S906EXXS5CWE7, and S908EXXS5CWE7 respectively. While the Brazilian units of Galaxy S22 devices are getting the update with the version number S90*EXXS5CWE4.

Samsung released the Galaxy S22 device back in 2022; it was one of the flagship devices which comes with all the [premium features. The device was available in two variants one is Exynos, and the other is the Qualcomm chipset variant. It is worth knowing that the Exynos variant Galaxy S22 devices were not as successful as Qualcomm, that’s why Samsung has only used Qualcomm exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor for Galaxy S23 devices.
