US Carrier-locked Galaxy S20 and Galaxy A52 5G get June 2023 security update
Samsung is one of the most active companies in terms of software updates; it has always introduced security-related updates for its smartphones; currently, the company is rolling out the June 2023 security patch for the devices. After expanding the update to other parts of the world, now the Korean giant is continuously expanding the update in the US.
Notably, the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy A52 are getting the June 2023 security update. The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra are getting the update on the T-Mobile with these firmware version numbers G981USQS5HWF2, G986USQS5HWF2, and G988USQS5HWF2, respectively. The Galaxy A52 5G is getting the update on three carriers, including T-Mobile, Sprint, and MetroPCS, with firmware version A526USQS9EWF1.
The latest update brings the June 2023 security patch, which brings several patches that enhance the overall security of the device by fixing the issues found in the devices. According to Samsung’s official documentation, the update brings over 60 patches that Google and Samsung add. The patches which Google includes are common for all Android devices. Samsung has introduced some exclusive patches that resolve the issues of Galaxy devices.

If you own the Galaxy S20 or Galaxy A52 devices which are affiliated to the carriers mentioned above, then you should receive the notification of the update, but in case you didn’t receive the update yet, then you can also check it manually by going to the system settings.
