Unlocked Galaxy S23 series get big camera update in the US
Samsung is one of the most active companies in terms of software updates; the month company has distributed two types of updates which are based on the same June 2023 security patch. One software version is simple and carries only new security patches for Galaxy devices, while the Galaxy S23 has been designed differently and added some extra enhancements for the camera.
What do we expect from the massive camera update?
Recently, US carrier-locked Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra users received the massive camera update with June 2023 patch, and now the company is giving the same treatment to the carrier-unlocked models of the Galaxy S23 series with a 2.2 GB software package; in this update, the company has introduced some new enhancements and fixes for the camera. Samsung started developing One UI 6 for Galaxy S22 and Fold 4 US variants
As we said earlier, the latest update includes the June 2023 security update, which brings 60+ security vulnerability fixes that improve the security of the device. Currently, the update is rolling out for the unlocked variants, so the users who own Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update with firmware versions S911U1UEU1AWF3, S916U1UEU1AWF3, and S918U1UEU1AWF3 sequentially.
The update is spotted on the T-Mobile network, and most probably it is now expanded to more carriers. The same update is also available for the locked variant of the devices on some limited networks, but it is expected to be expanded to more carriers in the coming days.
Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A54 devices, but due to the server limitation, the update hasn’t reached all the units of the devices available across the world, so gradually, the company has rolled out the update in South Korea, and now, with expansion, the company has rolled out the update for the European units.

Users who own Galaxy A54 devices in Europe can identify the latest update by the firmware version number A546BXXU7CXDC. The update includes major changes and innovation; therefore, it comes with a software package of more than 2 GB. The update is still using the April 2024 security patch, which includes several new features for the devices.
One UI 6.1 update brings several new changes
As Samsung limited the Galaxy AI features to the flagship device, that doesn’t mean the One UI 6.1 update for other devices isn’t useful. Apart from the AI feature, the update has brought several other improvements under different elements, including battery protection, gallery, clock, call and message continuity, and many more.
If you want to take advantage of all the new features and improvements, then you should update your Galaxy A54 device to the One UI 6.1 update as soon as possible. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F936BXXU6FXF3 and F721BXXU6FXE3, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F926BXXU6HXDB and F711BXXU7HXDB, respectively.
The most common thing among all devices with software updates is that they are using the same April 2024 security patch that arrived previously on the devices last month.
One UI 6.1 update: what’s new?
With the One UI 6.1 update, the company has provided several new features. The most notable features are those that are powered by Galaxy AI and enable users to use several utility functions such as summarization, live translation, and many more. However, it is worth noticing that the Galaxy S21 has grabbed only one Galaxy AI feature in the form of the Circle to Search feature.
