Updated: The Korean tech giant is expanding the Galaxy S22’s July 2023 security patch for more carriers in the United States. This time the T-Mobile and MetroPCS carrier-locked models of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are receiving the update.

The July 2023 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series can identify by the build number S90*USQS3CWF3. It will soon expand to other carriers as well, so stay tuned.

Earlier today, Samsung released the July 2023 security update in Europe for the Galaxy S22 devices. Now the series is getting the update in the US as well. The July security patch update is running in the initial stage. So it is currently limited to a few Galaxy devices, but soon it will be available to several Galaxy devices.

Notably, the Galaxy S22 series devices are getting updated in the US. Currently, the update is live for the ATT-locked variants. The latest firmware comes with S90*USQU2CWF2. The size of the update for the ultra model is 680.76MB. More carriers will join the July update soon.

Currently, there is no more info available about the July patch because Samsung hasn’t revealed the official bulletin of the latest patch; however, it is confirmed that the update will serve as maintenance for the device, so don’t expect any new feature for the device.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 back in 2022; the device debuted in the market with Android 12 preinstalled. Later it received the new Android version Android 13. Currently, the device is running on the One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. According to the Samsunsung policy, the device will grab three more major updates up to Android 17. Additionally, it will also get lite updates in the form of security patches.
