Samsung updates Galaxy A21 with July 2023 patch in Canada

Samsung is rolling out a new update for its mid-range device, the Galaxy A21. The latest update brings a new security patch with the July 2023 security patch. It is worth noticing that the company has listed the device in the biannual security update, which means it will get only two security updates in a year, and currently, it is receiving its second update.

The July 2023 security update is a maintenance update that includes several fixes for the Galaxy device. According to the official Samsung documentation, the latest update fixes over 90 security vulnerabilities that would be dangerous for the security of the device.

Moreover, if you update your device to the latest update, you will get extra protection against external threats available in the form of malware. Additionally, it also protects your privacy from cyber criminals who could use your device as a remote control.

Apart from these, the latest update doesn’t bring any new changes to the device, but it may improve some functions, which can improve your experience using certain features. The latest update is currently live in Canada and carries firmware version A215WVLS7CWG2.

It is worth noticing that the company is initially updating the Canadian variant of the Galaxy A21, but it is expected that it will soon be available in more markets. For now, Canadian users can install the latest update by going to the settings, then clicking on the software update menu and hitting the Download and Install option, waiting until it finishes searching, and then if it shows a new update available, hitting the Download button.
