Google has released a new update for the SmartWatches that are running on Wear OS. The latest update brings a new August 2023 security patch, which mainly aims to improve the security of the device.

As the update is available for the WearOS so it will be first available for Pixel watches and then other watches will get the update. Samsung Galaxy watches also run on WearOS, so it will also be available for them; however, the company may include some more adjustments in the update, so it will take time to release the latest patch.

If we talk about the changelog, the latest update doesn’t bring any new features for the watches but includes several security fixes, according to the official bulletin. Google reveals that the patch includes eight fixes that fix vulnerabilities present in the framework, platform, and system.

Recently, Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy Watch 6 series at an unpacked event. The company has launched the device with the latest One UI 5 watch, which will be based on Wear OS. While other Samsung watches, including the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4, are running the beta update, it is expected that Samsung may introduce the August 2023 update with the One UI watch beta stable update.
