Samsung is very active in updating its Galaxy devices. Last week, the company continuously updated the Galaxy devices with the August 2023 security update. Initially, it pushed the update to the Galaxy S20 FE device, then expanded to more Galaxy devices, and now, continuing the streak, the company is rolling out the update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now getting the update in the US. The update is currently available for the unlocked variant of the devices with firmware version F926U1UES4FWG7. It was spotted on a Dish wireless network vehicle and will be available on more carriers shortly.
As the update doesn’t belong to the One UI, it will not bring any novelty to the devices; specifically, the update only brings new security enhancements for the devices. According to the new bulletin from Samsung’s official documentation, the update will fix more than 80 internal functions, which will improve the user’s experience with the devices.
For your information, several Galaxy devices have already received the August 2023 security update in the US. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy A52 5G, and even its companion Galaxy Z Flip 3 have also received the August update.
Last year, Samsung issued a new policy for some flagship devices and mentioned the device’s eligibility. Here, the company has also listed the Galaxy Z Fold 3, so it will get a new Android update this year in the form of Android 14.
