Stories have become an important, non-excludable feature on the social media platform, and they got a great response from the users. The 24-hour photos that users may share with their friends were originally made popular by Snapchat. Soon other social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, followed the tradition. And Telegram will be joining them soon by adding story-based features. The founder of Telegram opened up earlier in June that the stories would be added, but with the restriction that only premium users could make use of the feature.

It seems the news is different now, as Telegram 10 beta may offer the feature to every user. This information can be confirmed, as the Telegram team underlined that the stories will be accessible to everyone soon in a response to a user via the official account on Twitter. It may allow users to choose the time period for which the story will last. The platform gives options between 6 and 48 hours other than 24 hours, which is offered in other apps.

Here, the users can tag other users within the app, directly record video and capture images through the app, and share urls. The most recent beta version is required to check this out, but until now, neither the Play Store nor APKMirror had it in stock. Only SDK 33 merges and bug fixes are mentioned in the version 10.0.0 changelog on the Microsoft App Center download page, accompanied by a peeling apple emoji.

Within weeks, we may receive a detailed announcement on how to upgrade to the beta version. The feature has been developed with an emphasis on privacy and flexibility while not taking up too much room in Telegram’s user interface since it is supposedly heavily desired by the app’s users.
