Galaxy A04s grabbing August 2023 security update
Samsung is constantly rolling out updates to its Galaxy devices. After introducing the August 2023 update to many Galaxy devices, including flagship and midrange devices, the company is now pushing new updates to the entry-level Galaxy A04s.
Notably, the new update is rolling out in Latin American countries including the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, and Panama. It is expected that the update will be available in more countries in the coming days.
The August 2023 security update is the latest security patch for Galaxy devices. The update includes 85 fixes that improve the security of the devices; apart from this, it may also include some improvements for the performance and stability of the devices. If we talk about the official change, the latest update doesn’t bring any new features or changes to the UI.
Users who own Galaxy A04s devices in the above-mentioned countries can identify the latest update by the firmware version number A047MUBS4CWG1. It is worth noticing that the device is listed under the quarterly update category.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A04s in 2022. The device came with Android 12. Later, the device grabbed the One UI Core 5 update, which was based on Android 13. The device is promised to get at least two major updates, so it will grab One UI 6 based on Android 14. However, as it is an entry-level device, it will get the update very late.
