Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ get August 2023 security update

Since the initial week of the month, Samsung has started rolling out the August 2023 security update for the Galaxy devices. The company has randomly updated its devices, from flagship devices to entry-level devices. Now, continuing the streak, the company has rolled out its older smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.

The latest update for the Galaxy Note 10 series is rolling out in Switzerland, and it is expected that the update will be available in more regions in the coming days. Users who own the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers N970FXXS9HWG9 and N975FXXS9HWG9, respectively.

The latest update brings a new security patch, which includes more than 85 fixes that enhance the security of the devices. In detail, the new patch brings 50 bug fixes that are included by Google, and additionally, Samsung added 35 more fixes that enhance the Samsung device’s security exclusively.

The Galaxy Note 10 was released back in 2019 and came with Android 9. Later, it  grabbed more major updates, so currently the devices are running on Android 12. Now that these devices have reached the limit of getting major updates, they are still eligible for more software updates.
