Galaxy Watches will soon get the functionality to unlock your smartphone
Samsung focuses more on the safety of its users; therefore, the company regularly rolls out new features for its devices so they can enjoy the content on their devices without worrying. Now a new unlock feature is also on the way for Galaxy watches, which can be used to unlock the smartphone easily.
According to the Assemble debug, the watch unlock feature may soon be available to all the watches that are running on WearOS. It has discovered the low-level system flags, and he has also shared a video on this. According to the information displayed in the video, if you didn’t set any fingerprint or face unlock on your smartphone, it will search nearby wearOS devices for permission to unlock the smartphone.
So whenever you take a Wear OS watch near your phone, it will show a notification, or you can just swipe up using your smartwatch. This feature is very useful when you are unable to unlock your phone by fingerprint, screen, or face lock.
As it is a very useful feature for the Galaxy ecosystem, it is expected that Samsung will include this feature in its next One UI watch update or may give it in another update. As the feature is based on the Android 13 API, it is expected to be unveiled with WearOS 4, but for some reason, Google has to hold it back. Let’s hope the big G will provide this feature in the coming update.
